Chelsea
Chelsea has held several DJ residences in some of Auckland 's most prestigious clubs as well as guest DJing around NZ. In July '98 she released one of the first CDs to be released by a local DJ – NZDJ Vol.1 (BMG NZ). It was a huge success for Chelsea and she was awarded BFM's House/Techno DJ of the year and DJ of the year in Metro magazine, both in '99. In April 2000 she went onto release– Bottom Heavy (BMG NZ), which received rave reviews including press in the UK 's Muzik magazine. Aside from DJing Chelsea runs her own production company – Madhouse and was one of the pioneers to bring tech house to the masses in NZ. She has successfully toured Terry Francis, Dave Mothersole, Colin Dale, Evil Eddie Richards and Pure Science (Live) to drop just a few. The North and South show on George FM was one of the station's most listened to radio shows and run for a period of almost two years. Chelsea and Tash (Pictured above) can still be found adorning the airwaves together when they get asked !!! In 2000 Chelsea was asked to represent NZ for the Red Bull Music Academy in Dublin . She promoted the school to DJs in NZ and went on to have an impressive seven DJs chosen for the academy. It was a huge success for the visiting DJs and is now a permanent fixture yearly for NZ DJs. In late 2000 Chelsea moved overseas to join her partner and then in 2002 she gave birth to twins – Harvey and Maisie. This put her out of action for a while behind the decks although six months into her pregnancy she could be found mixing a few tunes down at South side soul (Brixton London). Back once again on NZ turf Chelsea can be found juggling the life of motherhood with mixing. Watch this space…. Memorable nights she's played at: Discography Bookings

After
DJing in Spain for a year and half in 1993 and then working in a record
shop in the UK Chelsea decided to head over to NZ ('95) to visit her folks.
Loaded with a box of tunes she was under the impression she would only be here
for three months!! Nine years later and apart from a few short stays overseas
she is still here going strong.
